Tabeisa Fashion Show announced
The Design4life Africa Fashion Show features the shortlisted designs from a global
fashion competition Tabeisa Design 4 Life Africa.
This will be followed by the launch
of the new Exclusive Roots Collection designed through a collaboration between
Tabeisa small businesses based in
disadvantaged communities and London College of Fashion graduates.

Tabeisa Scoop Prestigious Prize

Tabeisa have won the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for work in tackling
the root causes of poverty.
The coveted biannual prize recognises the work done to help build a better
standard of living in some of the world’s poorest communities by
supporting over 1000 commercial start-up enterprises since its establishment
in 1994.
Project director Professor Jane Conlon was accompanied by five student winners
of the Enterprise4Life competition, from Durban, South Africa, Professor
Vuyisa Tanga (Vice Chancellor Cape Peninsula University of Technology) and
staff from
Greenwich University to collect the award from the Queen and the Duke of
Edinburgh on February 14.
Professor Conlon said: “The award is public recognition and validation
of the work of Tabeisa. It has increased our profile both in the UK and
South Africa. After fourteen years of hard work it is wonderful that the
work of
Tabeisa has been recognised in this way.”
